Morgan Goodnight is a PhD candidate in Dr. Darcy Telenko’s field crop pathology lab with the Department of Botany and Plant Pathology at Purdue University. Her doctoral research centers on the detection, biology, and management of emerging foliar and soilborne pathogens affecting agronomic crops. Through interdisciplinary research and practical extension outreach, Goodnight aims to bridge the gap between epidemiology and real-world disease management, providing growers and agricultural professionals with timely, effective strategies for managing evolving disease threats.
Goodnight is a native of northeastern Oklahoma and received her BS in Biological Sciences at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She has spoken at over 10 Extension events, published 11 peer-reviewed manuscripts, five technical reports, and several Extension publications. Since starting at Purdue, she has mentored numerous graduate students, visiting scholars, and undergraduates.
