Matt Martin, a leader in retail and CPG marketing with over 20 years of experience building brands, leads Harris Teeter’s Marketing function and is responsible for Customer Marketing, the eCommerce business and customer insights and research. In addition, he also leads non-perishable merchandising categories of Health & Wellness, General Merchandising and Adult Beverage.
Matt started his career at P&G as a financial analyst in the pharmaceutical division before spending nearly a decade as marketing and P&L leader in the Oral Care division for iconic brands such as Crest, Oral-B & Fixodent. Following his nearly 15-year P&G career, Matt joined Family Dollar as Vice President of Marketing where he spent nearly five years transforming the organization from a print-centric to digital-focused program. He also led the co-branding effort of Family Dollar and Dollar Tree following the acquisition of Family Dollar by Dollar Tree.
After his tenure at Family Dollar/Dollar Tree Matt was recruited to join Red Ventures as Executive Vice President where he led the MYMOVE division.
Matt holds a B.S. in Health Care Administration from the University of Evansville where he played football for four years and holds an MBA from Purdue University.
He currently lives in Charlotte, N.C. with his wife, Amy. They have two daughters, Emma (21) & Molly (14). He is board member of The Heartest Yard, a charity for children with heart conditions founded by NFL’s Greg Olsen, a member of Weddington Methodist Church and passionate about sports and the outdoors.
