Karen Hudson has been a molecular biologist with the USDA-Agricultural Research Service in West Lafayette, Indiana since 2007 with a focus on the genetics of soybean seed composition. Her laboratory works to identify genetic variation for fatty acid, protein, and carbohydrate content in soybean seeds and move these traits into breeder-friendly lines for further development.
